The Saint-Jean residence
Child of Corsica, native of the Nebbio region and having grown up in Saint-Florent, I invite you, dear customers, to discover through this site, the accommodation of our "Résidence Saint-Jean".
Where does this name come from? Midsummer, traditionally celebrated on June 24, is close to the summer solstice. The origin of this event is linked to the cult of the sun.So what could be more emblematic than this name for a residence facing the sumptuous sunsets of the Gulf of Saint Florent?
The land on which the Résidence Saint-Jean is built is located in the place called “Cisterninu”, at the foot of the mountains “E Cime” place called “ A Tettula" name given by the Romans which seems to describe the limestone mountains which surround the town of Saint-Florent, (visible and perceptible from the sea or from the Teghime pass and the road linking the latter to the village of Poggio d'Oletta) . Mountains forming “breasts” and which can be compared to the seven hills surrounding the city of Rome.
This fishing village has long been coveted over the centuries by the great Mediterranean and European powers due to its strategic position. The village of Saint-Florent allows you to discover, during the day, regions or emblematic sites of Corsica: The Agriate desert, Le Nebbio, Cap Corse, Balagne, the city of Bastia and Cortenais (interior of the North).
Without commercial interest, I would like to offer you my personal selection in the “The Essentials” tab to enrich your stay with unforgettable memories.
Happy to welcome you to our establishment, I remain at your entire disposal for any additional information on this site and useful to your stay.
The entire Résidence Saint-Jean team wishes you a pleasant stay.
